Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Askimia handles information related to the public website, the app, accounts, learning activity, payments, support, and Fahim.
Last updated: August 6, 2026
Overview and scope
This policy covers visitors to the public website, users of the Askimia app, students, parents or legal guardians, and people who contact support.
It covers information processed to present the website, provide the app, manage accounts, support learning, operate Fahim, process subscriptions, secure the service, and respond to requests.
Askimia is designed for learning. Some features may be used by minors. Where required by law, a parent or legal guardian should supervise use of the service and choices related to accounts or payments.
Categories of information processed
Depending on the features used, Askimia may process account information, such as email address, technical account identifiers, preferences, country, language, region, and security settings.
Askimia may process learning information, such as school level, subjects, goals, chapters viewed, exercises attempted, answers, corrections, results, progress, weaknesses, recommendations, and activity history needed for learning follow-up.
Askimia may process support information, such as messages sent, contact email, country, language used, device type, screenshots or details voluntarily provided, and request history.
Askimia may process limited technical information, such as device type, system, app version, error logs, security information, the IP address received by the host, and data needed for the service to work correctly.
Sources of information
Some information is provided directly by the user or legal guardian, for example during account creation, preference setup, Fahim use, or support contact.
Some information is generated through use of the service, for example progress, exercise answers, results, recommendations, technical errors, and security events.
Some information may come from platforms or providers needed for the service, such as applicable stores, payment providers, hosting providers, technical services, or tools used to operate Fahim.
Why we use this information
We use information to provide Askimia, create and manage accounts, personalize learning, track progress, provide recommendations, manage subscriptions, secure the service, and respond to support.
We also use it to fix errors, prevent abuse, investigate incidents, improve learning content, understand regional needs, and comply with legal or contractual obligations.
We do not sell users' personal data.
Learning activity, progress, and recommendations
Learning information helps show suitable content, resume activity, track strengths and difficulties, suggest review, and help users progress.
Results, answers, and interactions may be used to produce progress indicators, identify weaknesses, recommend exercises, and improve the pedagogical organization of the service.
This information should not be understood as a guarantee of grades, exam success, admission, or any official decision.
Fahim and AI help
When Fahim is used, messages, learning context, and content needed for the answer may be processed to provide a useful explanation.
Users should not send Fahim sensitive, confidential, or unnecessary personal information.
Fahim answers can help explain a lesson or exercise, but they do not replace a teacher, school, official exam, or administrative decision.
Categories of technical providers may be used to provide some AI-help functionality. Information sent should be limited to what is necessary to produce, secure, and improve the service.
Minors, parents, and legal guardians
Askimia may be used by minor students. Parents or legal guardians should supervise use of the service where required by law, user age, or payment context.
A parent or legal guardian may contact Askimia about a minor user's account, learning activity, privacy, or data deletion.
Askimia does not ask minor users to provide sensitive information or information unnecessary for learning.
Region, language, and country detection
The public website may use a country-level header provided by the host or CDN to show the right regional version. This detection is limited to country level and does not track precise location.
Manual language or region choices may be stored to respect the user's preference during later visits.
Unsupported countries may be directed to a default regional version so the website remains accessible.
Cookies, local preferences, and audience measurement
The website may store cookies or local preferences to remember the language and region selected manually.
These cookies are limited, non-sensitive, and used to display the right version of the website.
When the user accepts it, Askimia may use audience measurement to understand visited pages and certain high-level website interactions, such as language or region changes, campaign clicks, pricing clicks, support clicks, or download button clicks.
Public website audience measurement must not send account data, exercise answers, learning progress, payment data, or Fahim conversations.
When the website asks for consent, the user may accept or decline this measurement from the displayed message.
Payments and platforms
When subscriptions or purchases are offered through an app store or another payment provider, those platforms may process payment information under their own rules.
Askimia should not receive full card numbers when payment is handled by an external platform.
Askimia may keep information needed to verify subscription status, handle support, apply access rights, and comply with billing-related obligations.
Support and communications
When support is contacted, Askimia may process the request content, contact information, technical details provided, and exchanges needed to resolve the issue.
Askimia may send service-related communications, such as support replies, account information, security notices, or important subscription information.
With optional consent, Askimia may send product news, learning tips and offers. This choice can be withdrawn at any time in account settings or through the unsubscribe link included in every campaign.
For these campaigns, Askimia synchronizes the email address and limited segmentation data with Brevo, such as first name, language, country, school level, track, Free or Premium status, and onboarding status. Exercise answers, detailed learning progress, and Fahim conversations are not shared with Brevo for this purpose.
Security and abuse prevention
Askimia may process technical and activity information to protect accounts, detect errors, prevent abuse, limit fraud, secure payments, and maintain service availability.
Limitation, suspension, or verification measures may be applied if activity creates a risk to security, service integrity, or other users' rights.
Retention and security
We keep information for as long as needed to operate the account, provide support, maintain security, handle payment obligations, and meet applicable legal requirements.
Retention periods may vary depending on the nature of the information, active account status, billing obligations, deletion requests, disputes, security requirements, and reasonable technical constraints.
We use reasonable measures to protect the service, but no digital system can guarantee absolute security.
Providers and recipient categories
Askimia may share some information with categories of providers needed to operate the service, such as hosting, CDN, database, authentication, payments, applicable stores, support, security, and technical services used to operate Fahim.
These providers should be involved to provide, secure, maintain, or improve the service, process a request, manage payment, or comply with legal or contractual obligations.
Askimia may also disclose information when necessary to comply with law, protect users' rights, prevent abuse, or respond to a legitimate request from a competent authority.
Rights and requests
For privacy, access, correction, objection, restriction, data deletion, or account questions, contact Askimia at contact@askimia.com.
Some requests may require identity verification or may be limited by security, payment, abuse-prevention, or legal retention obligations.
Parents or legal guardians of a minor user may contact us about the account, learning activity, or data deletion.
